My name is Wannes Bosman.
I live in Belgium and I’m a photographer and movie-maker.
When I was 20 years old, I went to college abroad with the Erasmus program. For 5 months I lived and studied in Oulu, Finland. While I was there, I wanted to keep my family and close friends up to date with how I was doing. As I’m not the strongest writer, keeping a blog didn’t really seem like a good idea. Instead, I chose to make little movies with my Go Pro about my life there. I filmed everything I did and edited them into little episodes. I discovered that I enjoyed making those movies.
Once I went back to Belgium, I bought myself my first DSLR-camera. As I didn’t have the time to attend any photography classes, I learned most about what I know from YouTube movies and information I could find online. I started experimenting with photography and movie making. I played with settings; I tried different locations and different events. After a while it became clear that shooting and filming outdoor sports were my thing. I love being outside and exercising outside (running, biking). To be able to combine my passion for photography with my interest in outdoor sports is fantastic.
In January of 2015 I became a member of the GripGrab Media Crew. GripGrab is a company that makes accessories for runners and bikers (such as gloves, socks,…) Members of the GripGrab Media Crew have to take photos of athletes who ride/run with GripGrab accessories during contests. I absolutely adored feeling the adrenaline of the athletes, seeing their struggle, being able to translate that feeling into a picture. Being part of that crew opened a lot of doors.
Meanwhile I also shot some (little) movies check them out at my portfolio page.
In 2016 I started my own business.
